Mustang Creek Records News

1/22/08
The
economy has killed me. Everyone is getting so squeezed that no one wants to
spend 10 dollars on a CD. I should've expected this, with the recent news that
the retail sector is struggling this year.
I tried to tour, but I kept
running into "I'm too broke right now, sorry". People who were telling me that
they liked the CD but couldn't justify the expense.
So, I'm back home. The websites
will remain up, you can still buy a copy. I have 100 of them sitting in my
room.
I'll play again one day. I'm selling off some of my equipment and
just keeping one guitar and a few other things, to get some extra cash to get
by. I'm also selling Fara, my mustang filly. I can't afford to keep two horses
and my 5-year-old mare, Ginger is going to have to come first.
I'm going back to
training horses for a living.
To everyone who has stuck with me
these 7 years, thank you. It's been a helluva
ride.

1/17/08: We're two weeks into the new year and it's unveilin' time baby. I've been hard at work in the studio..or should I say horse trailer. I couldn't get any recording done in my apartment because of my obnoxious neighbor and landscape guys running leafblowers 24/7 so I went to my parents' ranch in Hollister. Well, I have a 7 year old sister and on top of that, they have a parrot. I wasn't gettin' any recording done in their house either! So I ended up using the horse trailer. My mare looked at me funny, but I don't think you can get any more COUNTRY than that. It must be destiny. My first hit record...made in a horse trailer.
BUT I DIGRESS.
